Todd’s first blog, The Lucha Diaries, was born in 2006. Having satisfied his appetite for Mexican luchador films, and he began writing for Teleport City, one of the longest-running cult cinema websites on the internet in February 2008. Around the same time, he started his Rondo Award-nominated blog Die, Danger, Die, Die, Kill!
NYU Cinema Studies Department Tribute
After 12 years of writing film reviews on his blogs and Teleport City, Todd had accumulated quite the DVD collection. In an effort to share his collection of rare films, 2,941 of his DVDs & VCDs were donated to the New York University Film Study Center archives. In return, NYU memorialized the donation labeling each DVD as “The Todd Stadtman Global Cinema Collection”. Each label will have a code that links to Todd’s 4DK blog so his legacy will live on for future film students and faculty members.
